Laurier Park to Gold Bar Park on the river

It was a warm, sunny day and another opportunity to see our beautiful Edmonton from the river. In about 3 hours we covered 16.2 km. The river seemed as relaxed as we were. 

Season preparations

We all can't wait to get to the mountains, but waiting is even harder on the club's "harpagons" (tough guys). On Tuesday two of them - Roman and Marek - got together to "train" before the season on the set of stairs near Fort Edmonton Footbridge. (Clicking on the photos allows to see them in bigger size).

Polish Ulans Supersonic

We took advantage of, literally, the last couple of hours before the influx of arctic air, to squeeze one more bike ride this year. This time, only men participated, and not just regular men, but Polish Ulans Supersonic!

We followed well established, slightly expanded Prezes Classic Trail - roughly 16 km ride, which took us about 2 hours - in autumn colors covered city of Edmonton.

Ania Kupnicka Classic - czyli zakończenie sezonu.

Wygląda na to, że tradycją się staje Ania Kupnicka Classic jako ostatnia aktywność sezonu (see also Ania Kupnicka Classic 2017). Może to perspektywa zbliżającej się zimy sprawia, że zarówno jak w zeszłym roku, ta wycieczka rowerowa okazała się bardzo popularna.

Wycieczka rowerowa, 19 km, 2 godz.

Piękną wycieczkę przymyślił Michał. Dzięki niemu mieliśmy okazję rzucić okiem na parę najbardziej znanych miejsc, tak jak powyższy Walterdale Bridge. (Klikając na zdjęcie można je zobaczyć w oryginalnym rozmiarze).

Bike ride 15 Oct 2017

Nasty winds outside seem to encourage me to recall the pleasures of the last Sunday. With temperatures approaching 15C, and sunny, windless afternoon, we had excellent conditions for our bike ride. Five riders disembarked their bicycles at my place, but we have reached the full strength only about 20 minutes later, at Fort Edmonton Footbridge.

My City, my River Valley. #YegRiVal

Referred to as a "Ribbon of Green", Edmonton's river valley comprises over 20 major parks and attractions and forms what is known as the largest expanses of urban parkland in North America. Jola and I will try to walk the whole Edmonton River Valley and adjoined ravines before the end of the year 2016.
