Jumpingpound Mountain, 2225 m

 Saturday, 11 June 2022

Finally the long wait was over! In spite of a somewhat "iffy" weather forecast, a brave group of 15 members of the Club embarked on scaling Jumpingpound Mountain in Kananaskis. The hike happened to be a bit longer than we anticipated - most of our GPSs showed 16 km while the guidebook was indicating 13.2 km, with 580 meters of altitude gain. The hike didn't disappoint though!

The beginning was not without challenge on account of a morning shower.

Luckily everybody was well prepared with rain jackets, and in some cases rain pants.

I was also happy with the ability of my hat to repel rain! Tilley is Tilley!

We progressed dynamically ...

... and soon, what was eagerly anticipated by male participants, some of the women started to undress!

Pity, Lady Wife forbad me to photograph it!

Mikele had more luck and, once the forest cleared a bit, got this picture with his most favorite model!

Taking advantage of the narrowness of the path, caused by fallen trees ...

... I managed to get certain approximation of Barbara's cleavage!

After about two hours of hiking, we reached the junction with the trail to Cox Mountain. As it was already midday, people satisfied their hungry stomachs.

After the break we encountered a few snow patches ...

... which prompted some notorious participants to eager production of ...

 ... demonic little snowmen!

Luckily for us, the weather was steadily improving ...

... so one by one ...

... we reached the summit!

Our newly nominated "weather witch," Anna - did not disappoint! Not only she secured excellent weather for the rest of the day, but she was in such a form that even our Club's Harpagon ...

... Roman, couldn't keep up with her (thus the miserable expression in his face).

Once on the top, Prezes' Angels, without asking ...

... pulled out their colorful sexy skirts ...

... and danced! I recorded video of these dances, but due to some stupid codec problems, cannot show them. If anyone has these recordings, I will be happy to add them to this coverage.

There were also selective requests of the ladies to be "pulled on the member of the Club!" ("być wciągniętą na Członka Klubu").

Notwithstanding that this was also their wish, Maya and Anna preferred to photograph themselves against the wonderful background of Moose Mountain.

Bo, on the other hand, on behalf of all of us, was expressing her ... universal love!

Maya expressed her love by sharing her sweets ...

... and Anna by photographing "the monuments of nature."

All the ladies looked beautiful against the background of Moose Mountain ...

... or Nihahi Range ...

... in spite of the wind playing with their hair!

For the record, this drive toward unrestricted photographing was not without certain dangers. Lady Wife, for instance, lost her balance and fell on her back. Miraculously, she didn't suffer a single scratch!

We hiked back the same way, the forest being now dry and smelling beautifully! So much prana and fun for so little money! All the participants were back at the parking after 6.5 hours of action.

Then another miracle took place! Mike's car that showed signs of overheating in the morning, drove us safely to our favorite hangout - 4th Spot Restaurant in Calgary.

Barbara, quite professionally, enticed everybody to share their "favorite moments" of the hike. The food and beer were excellent! Can't wait until our next trip!
