A beautiful day on Powderface Ridge.

 16 October 2021

Powderface Ridge, 2210 m, (Little Elbow, Kananaskis), +594 m, 10 km.

What a beautiful day it was! A sheer joy of being in the mountains in spite of late time in the season.

From the left: Teresa, Margo, Barbara, Mike, Bo, Piotr and Jacek.

We started at the junction of Highway 66, Powderface Road, and the access road to Little Elbow Recreation Area. As we didn't want to return the same way we planned to go up, we dropped two cars ...

... about 6 km up the gravel Powderface Road. This operation took a bit of time, so it was only 10:50 am when we hit the trail.

Initially, a lot of the altitude was gained through the forest section of the trail. However, soon wonderful views opened up.

There was a bit of snow here and there, ...

... which led to snowmen making. It must be a result of that unfortunate backlog when it comes to "wciąganie Pań na Członka Klubu!"

While Bo and Barbara ...

... were burning the excesses of sexual energy ...

... by summitting a side objective, I would call a "Nipple" ...

... Jacek generously strengthened the spirits ...

... of the rest of the group.

Our new star, Margo, (privately, a daughter of Teresa) appeared especially thankful. While hiking we discovered that Margo is ... a Goddess of the Sun! Should you decide to install solar panels on your roof, Margo is your person to arrange it. She can be contacted at: margo.klimowicz@solaryyc.ca

Mike, as usual, was making efforts to keep Barbara to himself, but eventually it didn't work. A few more meters and soon, ...

... following Bo and Jacek, we reached the highest point on the ridge. Jacek found a very nice spot ...

... with beautiful views, the warmth of the sun, and ... no wind!

I used this opportunity ...

... to snatch a few photos for the "Beautiful Woman in the Mountains" Category of our upcoming Photo-Competition!

Then, while I was admiring the views toward the South and Nihahi Ridge, which we hiked in 2020 (see the photostory) ...

... the hell broke loose! Undoubtedly reinforced by Jacek's creative "spirit," the Angels started all kind of dancing, including African Kazaczok ...

... and "Hej, dziewczyny, w górę kiecki!"

It was only after the threat of a "disciplinary action," that some angels ...

... agreed to resume the hike.

The descent on the west side of the ridge was particularly beautiful, and we were all very happy ...

... that we decided to take this route!

The last part of the hike was through a very enchanted forest.

Thanks to Jacek's Google Maps and enlightened guidance by the Angels ...

... we went down straight to our cars.

What a beautiful day it was! My only regret was that I needed to return to Edmonton that day and we didn't have time for any "social." Oh well, there is always ... another trip!

P.S. Great thanks to Bo and Jacek for permission to use their photos.
