Taking advantage of a wave of warm weather, Andrzej Jedrych arranged for a spontaneous, "before the season," training for a small group of our members. He invited us all to Mill Creek Ravine, where, volens, non volens, the participants managed to hike for over 10 km.
"Idź w góry, a otrzymasz ich dobrą nowinę. Pokój Natury popłynie do ciebie tak jak światło słońca płynie ku drzewom. Wiatry wwieją w ciebie swoją świeżość, a burze dadzą ci swoją energię, podczas gdy troski (tego świata) odpadną od ciebie jak jesienne liście." John Muir (1838-1914), szkocko-amerykański naturalista i propagator tworzenia parków narodowych, współzałożyciel organizacji ekologicznej Sierra Club.

Celebration of Winter 2021
Dear Friends;
This winter is quite unusual due to variety of factors related mostly to the Plandemic, but the unusualness of it cannot stop our Members from celebrating every day and every moment, whenever possible, but always within provincial health guidelines.
I am posting here some photos taken by various members of our group within this season, with grateful acknowledgement for giving me permission to do so.
During this winter many members of our group have been meeting on a regular basis in various golf courses and city parks for the purpose of cross country skiing.
Every skiing day we celebrate our beautiful Canadian winter.

Pickles, schmaltz and varene vino.
In spite of the Arctic Vortex that has befallen on Alberta, last Sunday, a group of the club members met in Hawrylak Park. After so many rounds of cross-country skiing (in my case, two), we gathered, respecting social distancing guidelines as much as possible, to "uplift our spirits."
