"Idź w góry, a otrzymasz ich dobrą nowinę. Pokój Natury popłynie do ciebie tak jak światło słońca płynie ku drzewom. Wiatry wwieją w ciebie swoją świeżość, a burze dadzą ci swoją energię, podczas gdy troski (tego świata) odpadną od ciebie jak jesienne liście." John Muir (1838-1914), szkocko-amerykański naturalista i propagator tworzenia parków narodowych, współzałożyciel organizacji ekologicznej Sierra Club.

First of all, it impresses me that some of the ladies of our Club can not only jump but jump high! This must have something to do with their ferocious sexual appetites (or so I speculate). But of course, when seeing the truly masculine specimen of Dragan, it is only natural that the ladies jump ... high! (Piotr)
This photo
captures a joyful moment in the mountains on a bright, sunny day. A woman in
mid-air, jumping up on a patch of snow, her arms stretched high, casting
excitement and energy. The snow contrasts with the cloud-covered blue sky and
the peaks are peeking in a distance. Strong male partner stands poised, ready
to “rescue” her, with a playful grin on his face. This dynamic and vibrant
photo highlights their adventurous spirit and the cheerfulness of their
friendship, all against the magical mountain scenery. (Yanek)

For the second leg of our A.O. Wheeler Camp, following Ewa's recommendation, we chose a blue (moderate) Avalanche Crest Trail, starting right from the hut. AllTrails gives 8.7 km and +932 m as the ramifications for this trail. According to our GPSs, the trail's length is closer to 10 km.

On that day the five of us: Mike, Bożenna, Barbara, Piotr and Anna, we hiked to Asulkan Hut in the upper part of Asulkan Valley, Glacier National Park, British Columbia. According to AllTrails the hike 13.7 km long with 968 meters of altitude gain. My GPS showed almost 20 km (forth and back) with about 860 m of altitude gain. Go figure!

Noseeum Lake is a fine lake in Banff National Park. Our objective, to say the truth, was Noseeum Peak, which is above 3000 meters. However, the weather was uncertain and looking for a trail in dense fog didn't appeal to us. The whole trail to the lake is very interesting though, even if often confusing on the way. Having three GPS devices in our group, we still lost quite a bit of time trying to find the right path.
Shunda Creek Camp, which took place between 2nd and 5th of August, was attended by 15 persons. A lot happened, starting with Piotr Zielinski (pictured) and Roman Lipiecki scaling Mount Ernest Ross Via Ferrata, which is considered to be one of the most difficult in Canada. It involves negotiating a 7 meter long overhang, which Piotr, in the picture, is about to begin. More of the pictures from their adventure can be found here.
Super relacja Michała! Dzięki.

The tradition of Picasso Flats Bike Ride was restored this year. Postponed for one day because of poor weather, this very fine 18 km bike ride attracted nine participants. From the left: Wojtek, Marian, Elżbieta, Bo, Piotr (the organizer), Bogdan, Marek and Andy. Missing (taking picture): Jacek.

Patagonia is the region in southern Chile and Argentina, which contains, among others, three of the national parks that are considered to be among the most beautiful in the world. These are Torres del Paine in Chile, and Perito Moreno and Los Glaciers (Fitzroy) in Argentina. The region was visited in January 2024 by the ten member "expedition" of Polish Men and Women Mountaineering Club of Edmonton. The expedition members were:

A courageous group of the members of Polish Men and Women Mountaineering Club of Edmonton scaled Allstone Ridge in Clearwater County, Alberta, Canada, on the last day of 2023. Here is the film document of their effort involving some risky situations on the icy trail, anticommercial about ice clits, wild wolf howling with a bit of Serbian accent, and some sexy singing for the President (of the Club, myself that is) in Marylin Monroe style!
Don't miss it!
