Cycling with the Polish Beauties in the River Valley or how to avoid construction sites.

To celebrate the first Thursday in June, which happened to be one of the nicest days so far this season, our Polish Beauties under the leadership of Ela organized a bicycle trip in the River Valley.

There were 7 of us this time, including Asia, Ewa, Marta, Janusz, Andy, Mike, and obviously our brave lady leader Ela. We met in front of the Kinsmen Centre and  started cycling towards the Queen Elizabeth Park.

Everything was under the name of Queen Elizabeth that day, including the sewer covers

We got to the top of the first hill and had to rest for a minute or two to catch our breath.

Then we continued on top of the embankment in this lovely park between the trees.

We stopped at the highest point to look at the cityscape from the south shore.

Original intention was to continue all the way to Capilano, but we were stopped by this sign informing us that the trail is closed because of LRT expansion works.

We cycled then to the other side of the river, from where we could see the Incidental Beach with the people enjoying being close to the water.

We were trying to get to Riverdale and further, but we were stopped again by another construction sign.

We could see some people paddle boarding on the river, after which we went to the McKinnon Ravine and back to Kinsmen.

At the Kinsmen we were in for a real TREAT, because Asia presented us with her Circus-on-Wheels performance!!!

It is not every day that we can see this sort of performing artistry! Bravo!

After biking we sat down on this grassy hill to spent time in a relaxing atmosphere.

On the way back we could see and listen to this blues group; the lady musician in the centre was the best, without any doubts.

Our thanks go to Ela for organizing this trip.
