On invitation from the Vice-President, Mike, a big group of our club members joined him for cross-country skiing in Royal Victoria Golf Course. All the prominent club members were there, namely:
Marek
Bogdan
Tereska
Elzbieta
Hania
Andy
Holcia
Andrzej wanted to win the contest for the most charming hat ...
... however he was beaten by Bosnia!
Jacek was also there, though screaming from afar: "No pictures, no pictures!"
Witek, on the other hand, was busy "wyjmowaniem najlepszych lasek!"
One of them came on skis straight from her home.
After making sure that Dusia is properly equipped (thanks Mike!) and ready for adventure ...
... with Ania ...
... we went to the clubhouse to "strengthen the spirit" (aby "pokrzepić ducha"), with hot wine ...
... and pancakes!
So invigorated, we proceeded to prepare proper welcome for all our adventurous skiers!
Ela was the first one who reached for a "pikuś" ...
... then came always dynamic Roman ...
... and two of my Angels!
Dusia preferred to warm up with Mike's "herbatka!" ...
... while Jacek opted for "direct body contact!"
However, even Bosnia had to admit ...
... that "pikusie" were "fingers licking good" ("palce lizać").
It all seems to demonstrate that when it comes to cross-country (skiing) ...
... the most important thing is proper technique!
