"Idź w góry, a otrzymasz ich dobrą nowinę. Pokój Natury popłynie do ciebie tak jak światło słońca płynie ku drzewom. Wiatry wwieją w ciebie swoją świeżość, a burze dadzą ci swoją energię, podczas gdy troski (tego świata) odpadną od ciebie jak jesienne liście." John Muir (1838-1914), szkocko-amerykański naturalista i propagator tworzenia parków narodowych, współzałożyciel organizacji ekologicznej Sierra Club.

Conquering Flood Mountain: A Return to Grande Cache’s Iconic Peak
By Boris Bokov
June 28, 2025 – Flood Mountain, Grande Cache, Canada.
After a long absence, I finally returned to Flood Mountain—one of Grande Cache’s iconic Bronze Peaks—nineteen years after my last visit during the Canadian Death Race. This time, however, I wasn’t racing against the clock but hiking with friends, taking in the stunning alpine scenery, and reliving memories of past adventures.

Mt. Louie, 1845 m, Grande Cache.
Mt. Louie is a popular objective near Grande Cache (Alberta). The altitude gain is about 800 meters over a distance of approximately 5 km. Our group made it (back and forth) in 7 hours, mostly because of the problems crossing streaks and muddy sections. Most people do the mountain in between 4.5 and 6 hours. For AllTrails description of the trail click here.
As for the rest of the photostory I have a rare treat for you! The trip report was written by Boris Bokov, the Trip Leader, which I quote extensively (in italics), while my own comments are in regular font.
